REUNIFICATION PALACE (Formerly the Presidential Palace)
Originally built for the French Governor-General of Indochina in 1868 the Norodom Palace as it was then known was abandoned in 1880 when government services moved to Hanoi. When the Government of South Vietnam was established in 1954, the palace became the luxurious residence of President Diem. In 1963, the palace was abandoned after a renegade pilot in the South Vietnamese army bombed and strafed the building. The current structure was opened in 1966. One of the most striking images of the War was the sight of North Vietnamese tank 843 crashing through the palace gates marking a symbolic end to the conflict in Indochina. On a tour of the palace one can visit underground tunnels and bunkers filled with radio equipment and maps left virtually untouched since 1975.
NOTRE DAME CATHEDRAL
Built between 1877 and 1883, Notre Dame Cathedral, with her two 40 meter towers topped with iron spires is one of Ho Chi Minh City's major landmarks. It is built in a neo-Romanesque form. The cathedral's red bricks and colored glass windows were imported from France. The cathedral was consecrated in 1962. Full services in both Vietnamese and English are held every Sunday morning.
SAIGON POST OFFICE
Located next to Notre Dame is Saigon's French-styled post office. Built between 1886 and 1891, the ochre-colored building has a glass canopy, ceiling fans, and enormous wall maps of "Saigon et Ses Environs". At the far end of the arched building is a large portrait of Ho Chi Minh.
Dalat is located on a verdant plateau containing pine forests and lakes 300 kilometres northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. At 1,500 meters above sea level, Dalat's cool climate provides a pleasant respite from the heat and humidity of the lowlands and for this reason the French developed it into a summer retreat in the early 1900's. Dalat's colonial influences can still be seen in its cathedral and some of the 2,000 French villas which dot the town. The town has a relaxed atmosphere and is very popular with Vietnamese holiday makers, especially honeymooners.
The gingerbread-style Dalat Cathedral was built between 1931 and 1942 for use by French residents and holiday-makers. The cross on the spire is topped by a weathercock, 47m above the ground. The church itself is rarely open outside of mass times.
Dalat's temperate climate makes it ideal for vegetable and flower cultivation. The centrally located morning market is the perfect place to view some of the exotic species of orchids, fruits and vegetables grown in the region. Ethnic minorities from the surrounding villages also attend the market to sell handicrafts and textiles.
XUAN HUONG LAKE
This man-made lake dominates the town – Dalat is built on the slopes rising from its shores. Although you can take a paddle boat on its calm waters, the best way to see it is to stroll along the 7km sealed path that encircles it.
BAO DAI'S SUMMER VILLA
Built in 1933, the 25-room villa was Emperor Bao Dai’s midsummer retreat and hunting lodge. The art-deco interior still looks much as it did early in the 1930s and provides an interesting insight in to Vietnam’s last royal family.
TRUC LAM BUDDHIST MONASTERY
This tranquil and newly-built monastery is located in a forest above serene Tuyen Lam Lake. The monastery has a landscaped garden and small museum of Buddhist artifacts.
This 20 meter high waterfall with the fresh water flow through rocks, the deepest chasm is named The Death Chasm. The toboggan system is a unique in Dalat with 1000m length curve round side of moutian.
XQ HISTORICAL EMBROIDERY ART VILLAGE

Mui Ne is an eco-tourist site still in primitive appearance, about 22 km to the East of Phan Thiet City. It is the name of a coastal ward in Phan Thiet City. Visiting Mui Ne, visitors can walk under rows of coconut trees running along the beach with the blue sea on side and white sand dunes on the other.
THE WHITE SAND DUNES
The Bau Trang area has 3 lakes: Bau Ong (Gentleman Lake), Bau Ba (Lady Lake) which is the largest, and Bau Xoai (Mango Lake) which is the smallest, and several ponds. Bau Ba is 14.5 m at the deepest point and Bau Ong is 22 m deep. The two lakes have a combined water volume of 12,131,900 m3. The shallower ends of the lakes are covered in beautiful flowering lotuses, and thus the area is sometimes referred to as "Lotus Lake" by tour companies; further adding to the great confusion of so many names for the same area.
About 18 km of North East Phan Thiet, Fairy stream is an extremely romantic poetic place, one side of Suoi Tien is white and red sand mountain intermixing together, another side are rows of shading coconut palms, lines of trees with luxuriant leaves. All of these things create a poetic and charming stream.
